Ich hab einen Artikel gefunden, über den Jesse über Katie spricht (sorry ist leider in Englisch):
Jesse McCartney is singing the blues
Talk to Jesse McCartney about his new CD, and the 21-year-old heartthrob turns into a bubbly teen. Ask him about his tour with "American Idol" Jordin Sparks and he gushes, "What an amazing singer."
But turn the conversation to actress-singer Katie Cassidy, and a tinge of sadness takes over. After a relationship that lasted three years, McCartney confirms that the romance between him and the star of the upcoming movie version of "Dallas" is toast.
"Yes, there is pain," says McCartney, who joins Sparks at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Friday. "It [the relationship] was like a song. All of a sudden it ended."
Because of their fiercely divergent schedules, it was probably inevitable. Nevertheless, McCartney says he was surprised by the breakup.
"This was real s-t," he says candidly. "It was my first big romance. It was the first time I had ever made this kind of a commitment to someone else, and when we broke up it just shook me in every way. It's been hard dating after that."
The online gossips say it was Cassidy, 21, who clipped the ties because McCartney was away so much. Whatever the reason, it led to a change in image for McCartney, from the cuddly blond Ken doll that shot him to stardom with the bubblegum CD "Beautiful Soul" (2004), to the spike-cut, black-haired singer in the edgy CD "Departure," released in May.
"I was experiencing new emotions," he says. "So, I decided to try something different."
The result is an album that still has a hint of early Justin Timberlake, but also mixes in a lot more R&B than his fans have a right to expect from a preppy white boy from tony Ardsley, N.Y.
As for teaming with Sparks, who won the sixth season of "American Idol" in 2007, McCartney explains: "I had met her once. We started texting back and forth, and the more we talked the better we got to know each other.
"I'm into her music. She's into mine. We're both young."
Singing is something McCartney has seemingly always done, even as a high school kid when he was the youngest member of the boy band Dream Street.
But while he loves turning teenyboppers on with his pipes, his real interest is movies. He was the voice of Theodore in last year's "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and JoJo in 2008's "Horton Hears a Who."
"I'm an actor at heart," he insists. That's what I want to do. It just so happens that singing came up first."
And what of his first love, Katie?
"I dunno," he says after a pause. "I guess a part of me never wants to totally close it. There are things about it that you never want to let go.
"We still talk. But it's never like it was."
